Though be warned, if your accommodation is based in the intertwining roads/paths inside lindos, you can't get a bus down there so the travel company will drop you off and lead you there and your bags followmlater. We waited 4 hours for ours to arrive after a night flight, and then had an ant infestation in the room. If you're in one of the large hotels with pool etc at the top of the hill, you'll be fine
Lindos itself really is lovely and it gets sweltering too.
I did faliraki when I was 18 and had a ball, but the rest of the island is really lovely - shame my kids are relentlessly hyper pains in the ass and I can't bear the thought of a 4 hour flight with them or we'd be going there ourselves!

Lindos, been there many times and married Mrs V there. Rooftop dinner at Odyssia, followed by a few beers in Courtyard Bar then up to the roof of Lindos By Night

Did Florida last month, love the place, but it's knackering with the kids and not a break.
Got a villa and a car and hoping to just have a relaxing one with the kids (hopefully) this time. It looks a great place, really looking forward to it

Lindos is lovely - cracking little place with a quaint feel and lovely beach, though there are some poor donkeys carrying fat sweaty messes up the cobbles that I felt sorry f or
Rhodes town is great to explore too. You can go to the harbour to spot the place the colossus used to straddle
And if you're having a gay day, there's always the valley of the butterflies

Stayed in Pefkos a couple of times and loved it. Off again to Skiathos next month though...

Love Rhodes, been 4 times.
Used to stay in a small (at the time) village called Afandou and go into Faliraki for the nightlife most nights.
Rhodes town is very nice as is Lindos. In fact Lindos is probably one of the hottest places i have ever been to especially up by the Acropolis. I am sure it was almost 50 up there one day

Get yourself to the Sifonois Distillery in the Rhodes old town and buy a bottle or two of Cafe de Ouzo. You won't regret it.

Spend at least a night in Lindos old town. Its the bedt place in Rhodes by far.
The drive along the north coast down to monolithos for sunset is well worth it.
Simi is about an hour away by ferry. Can be done in a day trip but again worth staying for the extra 30 quid or do it's cost you.

Went years ago, based at Pefkos. Lindos nice, Rhodes city, and hired a car and drove inland and to the east coast.
